Teaching in Taiwan
The ROC (Taiwan) Ministry of Education, in an effort to provide a better English learning environment for Taiwanˇ¦s students, has been actively bringing to Taiwan qualified foreign English language teachers to teach in public K-9 schools, especially those in rural areas.
The goals of this project are to take advantage of the pedagogies, resource materials, and curriculum expertise that foreign teachers will bring with them, to share and interact with Taiwanˇ¦s students, teachers, administrators, parents, and even local communities. This is an opportunity to broaden the experiences of Taiwanˇ¦s young minds and create lifelong international goodwill between the United States and Taiwan.
Visiting teachers will be compensated with the cost of roundtrip airfare, housing stipends, and monthly wages in accordance with their educational background and teaching experience. The intangible benefits, however, are even more appealing, including intimate exposure to the rich heritage, natural beauty, and diversity of Taiwan. Taiwanˇ¦s world-renowned cuisine, wealth of historical landmarks, and unique cultures await exploration.
Interested and qualified (having a bachelor or higher degree and a teaching certificate) foreign English language teachers of the Mid-West America are invited to check the following websites for specific requirements and details about this project.ˇ@
