Job Description: Administrative tasks and consular services


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 5:30PM ( With one hour lunch break)


Working Location: 55 W. Wacker Dr., Suite 1200, Chicago, Illinois, 60601



  • Possess U.S. Citizenship, a U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), or have the right to legally reside in the U.S. with a work permit;
  • Have Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree, or above;
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking in English and with basic Mandarin language skills or above;
  • Have Word processing and Microsoft capabilities;
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license without major accident records;
  • Zero criminal record;
  • Be able to work overtime if required.


Start of Employment: June 15, 2022 (with 3 months of probation)

Job Description:

The Economic Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago is an overseas branch office of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Division’s service area covers 10 states in the US Midwest, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

The major functions of the Economic Division are to promote economic relationships between Taiwan and US Midwest, to enhance bilateral investment, industrial and technology cooperation, to assist Taiwan’s companies in marketing, and to promote their products and services in the US market.

We are now offering an open position at Economic Division, Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Chicago.


  • With Green Card / Permanent Residency
  • College/University graduated and/or above
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English and Mandarin
  • Experience in creating the WORD and POWER POINT documents in both English and Traditional Chinese
  • Expert in internet searching for companies and products in both Taiwan and the U.S.
  • Capable of searching outsourcing opportunities available at American companies and identifying Taiwan suppliers
  • Illinois Driving License is a plus.


Education Division, TECO in Chicago Position Posting

We are looking for a talented Project Administrator/Coordinator assisting diplomatic officers from the Ministry of Education in Taiwan with professional administration and translation skills. Productive team-player when supporting daily activities as well as executing projects with excellence to enhance program. Expert at managing multiple tasks in busy environment. Excellent communication and conflict management skills.


  • Assist diplomatic officer from the Ministry of Education in Taiwan and maintain office duties with administrative support to develop/manage international cooperation projects including study abroad exchange programs.
  • Advice American students with study in Taiwan resources, new student orientations and scholarship programs.
  • Liaise Taiwan students with consultation of study in U.S. immigration policy, processing government funding reimbursements and campus activities.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, webpage, social media communication.
  • Other assigned projects including annual conferences, seasonal outreach programs, scheduling meetings and event planning.
